Behind the smoke

NO BOARDROOM.
JUST A BACKYARD.

A Father's Day smoker turned into a whole lot more than dinner—and a lot of jokes about meat.

01 / HOW IT STARTED

The food kept getting better. More importantly, people kept showing up.

It started with a smoker I got for Father's Day. Then came the experiments—different meats, seasonings, sauces, temperatures, and techniques. Some cooks absolutely hit. Others taught me exactly what not to do the next time.

Friends and family kept showing up hungry. The food kept bringing people together. One seasoning blend started getting passed around before it ever had a name. That became W1ld Rub, and Smokin DadBod became the place to keep the story going.

01

REAL COOKS

If it looks good here, I actually handled it. Professionally, of course.

02

KEEP LEARNING

Take notes, own the misses, and remember: every dry brisket is just expensive character development.

03

FEED PEOPLE

The best part is who ends up around the table. The second-best part is watching them compliment the meat.

Smokin DadBod exists to make damn good food and bring people together around it.
